Now a USA TODAY BESTSELLER‘Dating-ish’ can be read as a standalone, is a full length 100k word novel, and is book #6 in the Knitting in the City Series. There are three things you need to know about Marie Harris: 1) She’s fed up with online dating, 2) She’s so fed up, she’s willing to forego the annoyance and consider more creative alternatives, and 3) She knows how to knit. After the most bizarre and irritating first date in the history of humankind, Marie is looking for an alternative to men. With the help of her friends, she quickly identifies a few possibilities:Need a cuddle? Use a professional cuddler. Need affirmation? Get yourself a life coach. Need an orgasm? Try orgasm meditation! Why does she need the hassle of a romantic partner when she can meet all her needs with paid services? But then her irritating date resurfaces. And he’s not at all the person she thought he was. And he suggests a different—and crazier—solution to her dilemma . . .As everyone knows (or will soon come to realize), traditional relations between humans are a thing of the past. Robots are our future. And if robots are our future, then why do we need other people at all?
Max Riley is the man of your dreams. Or at least he will be, for a price.
As his alter-ego Mister Romance, Max is a drop-dead gorgeous escort who makes romantic fantasies come to life. No sex, just swoon-worthy dates to die for, and the cream of New York's socialites can't get enough. Whether they want a dominating billionaire, bad boy with a heart of gold, hot geek, sexy biker, or best friend who loves them from afar, Max can make it all happen, but he's careful to keep his real identity a secret.
Enter investigative journalist Eden Tate. Having caught wind of the urban legend of Mister Romance from a lovestruck client, Eden is determined to publish a scathing expose on Max and his ability to swindle lonely society women out of their fortunes.
Desperate to protect his anonymity and his clients, Max challenges Eden to give him three dates. If she doesn't fall in love with him, she can run her story with his blessing. If she succumbs to his charms, the story dies.
Cynical Eden has no doubt she can resist his fake romance personas, but when the real Max admits he’s falling for her, she has to decide if the professional liar is telling the truth, or if the passionate man with the mysterious past is just one more character designed to con her out of her career-making story.

OMG, I absolutely loved, loved, loved this book. I swooned in so many places throughout this book that I felt like the main character. I don’t know how Leisa does it, but man, I fell in love with Mister Romance too.
I honestly can’t think of a single thing about this book that I didn’t enjoy. That is so very rare for me. So far, this is my favorite book I have read this year. Please give it a read.
It starts with a stolen kiss under an English sky, and it ends with a walk down the aisle. It starts with the President sending his best friend to woo me on his behalf, and it ends with my heart split in two. It starts with buried secrets and dangerous desires…and ends with the three of us bound together with a hateful love sharper than any barbed wire.
My name is Greer Galloway, and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States.
This is the story of an American Queen.
OMGEEE this book. This book is all the things. I have not thoroughly enjoyed a book in months. Months! I have been in the worst book funk, and I even stopped reading for awhile.
I signed up to review American Queen, so I figured I better read it. I mean, I loved Sierra’s book, Priest, so I knew there was a good chance I would like American Queen.
The book hooked me from the very first paragraph. I mean, if you read the blurb, that should have you 1-clicking this book. It opens up to Greer walking down the aisle to marry The President of The United States and her panties in the Vice President’s jacket pocket. Yes people! Yes!
Even with this powerful of an opening, the book did not wane. Oh no. It did not. It got hot. And hotter. And hotter. It ended on the hottest scene in the book. Sierra can freakin’ write them.
Seriously, I cannot stress this enough. Read this book.
Randy Ballistic and Lily LeBlanc are head-over-heels, bed-breakingly, screaming orgasmically in love. But even they have their challenges, mostly outside of the bedroom.
With the off-season coming to a close and the boys gearing up for training camp, one more weekend of fun is the perfect way to welcome the new season.
The entire crew piles into vehicles and drives to Alex and Violet’s Chicago cottage for a few days of relaxation―and hopefully a chance for Randy to shake the anxiety that’s been plaguing him.
Accidental wardrobe malfunctions, typical Violet inspired overshares, and a whole lot of private time round out the perfect weekend getaway.
But the moment they return to the city all of Randy’s angst resurfaces with the arrival of a surprise houseguest.

A guy stood on the other side of the glass, mouth grim, expression dialed to Tall, Dark and Attitude-ridden. He was something too, all gorgeous and broody and –hold up. There was something familiar about him, enough that her feet propelled her forward out of pure curiosity. When it hit her halfway to the door, she froze, her heart just about skidding to a stop.
“Keane Winters,” she murmured, lip curling like she’d just eaten a black licorice. She hated black licorice. But she was looking at the only man on the planet who could make her feel all puckered up as well as good about her decision to give up men.
In fact, if she’d only given them up sooner, say back on the day of the Sadie Hawkins dance in her freshman year of high school when he’d stood her up, she’d have saved herself a lot of heartache in the years since.
On the other side of the door, Keane shoved his mirrored sunglasses to the top of his head, revealing dark chocolate eyes that she knew could melt when he was amused or feeling flirtatious, or turn to ice when he was so inclined.
They were ice now.
Catching her gaze, he lifted a cat carrier. A bright pink bedazzled carrier.
He had a cat.
Her entire being wanted to soften at this knowledge because that meant on some level at least he had to be a good guy, right?
Luckily her brain clicked on, remembering everything, every little detail of that long ago night. Like how she’d had to borrow a dress for the dance from a girl in her class who’d gleefully lorded it over her, how she’d had to beg her foster mother to let her go, how she’d stolen a Top Ramen from the locked pantry and eaten it dry in the bathroom so she wouldn’t have to buy both her dinner and his, as was custom for the “backward” dance.
“We’re closed,” she said through the still locked glass door.
Not a word escaped his lips. He simply raised the cat carrier another inch, like he was God’s gift.
And he had been. At least in high school.
If she has her way…
Willa Davis is wrangling puppies when Keane Winters stalks into her pet shop with frustration in his chocolate-brown eyes and a pink bedazzled cat carrier in his hand. He needs a kitty sitter, stat. But the last thing Willa needs is to rescue a guy who doesn’t even remember her…
…He’ll get nothing but coal in his stocking.
Saddled with his great-aunt’s Feline from Hell, Keane is desperate to leave her in someone else’s capable hands. But in spite of the fact that he’s sure he’s never seen the drop-dead gorgeous pet shop owner before, she seems to be mad at him…
Unless he tempers “naughty” with a special kind of nice…
Willa can’t deny that Keane’s changed since high school: he’s less arrogant, for one thing—but he doesn’t even remember her. How can she trust him not to break her heart again? It’s time to throw a coin in the fountain, make a Christmas wish–and let the mistletoe do its work…

The Trouble with Mistletoe is the 2nd book in the Heartbreaker Bay series. Willa runs a pet shop South Bark. One morning Keane drops by with his Aunt’s cat hoping for daycare services on short notice. But he wasn’t expecting Willa and is instantly captivated with her personality and big heart. Willa however isn’t as sold on Keane as they have a history that Keane doesn’t remember. When the truth comes out about what really happened back in high school, Willa drops her guard and decides to see where things go with Keane. With Keane, Willa is finally seeing that she is worth a lot more than she thinks she is and doesn’t know if she is actually capable of loving someone.
This is a sweet romance with some very hot scenes, one including their first time together. And yes, it isn’t always the guy who makes the mistakes and needs forgiveness. I always have loved reading Jill Shalvis with just how easy she makes love story jump off the pages. The Trouble with Mistletoe is a great easy read, one that I couldn’t put down and devoured in a couple hours once I started reading.

Wilder is just proof of why I love Rebecca Yarros. She takes you on an adventure and at the same time can provide a sweet romance with a little bit of angst and suspense that is guaranteed to get your heart rate going.
Paxton Wilder is the leader of the Renegades. He lives for the rush and excitement that doing extreme sport stunts that him and friends perform. Doing the School at Sea program will allow him to do stunts all over the world and be able to finish college. That’s where Leah Baxter comes in. In order to pay for the program, Leah is signed up to be a tutor and is assigned to Paxton for the year. Leah, who has been a recluse for the past couple of years, is using this as an opportunity to come out of that with her best friend Rachel. She definitely wasn’t expecting that within a few minutes of meeting Paxton she would become part of his stunt.
I absolutely loved this book. With Paxton we get guy who lives for the dangerous, while Leah is almost content in staying in her comfort zone. The attraction between the two is there from the start, but I love that it is slow build starting with friendship. We find with Paxton, there are two sides to him. We have Wilder who plays to the crowd, and Paxton who is honestly is a smart, hard-working, thoughtful and passionate guy. Leah can definitely hold her own with him, and doesn’t let Paxton get away with anything.
As the story progresses, we find out just why Leah was handpicked to be Paxton’s tutor and I just have to say….plot twist. I amnot going to give anything away because I want you to read and experience with wild ride that only Wilder can provide. This defintitely got 5 stars as this a book that I would want to read over and over while wishing that I could experience it like its the first time.
“Bentley!” Brock barked and shook his head.
“What?” Bentley shrugged then smoothly walked over to Jane and pulled out a box of black high-heeled pumps in a size eight and a half. “Your foot, milady?”
Brock rolled his eyes. “Give it a rest, Bentley. She can put on her own damn shoes.”
Bentley completely ignored him. “I love a woman’s foot.” He grabbed Jane’s broken shoe and tossed it to the side while his hands danced along the arch of her foot. His fingertips danced along her skin. Seduction by foot rub? That was new.
“It’s sexy, the arch.” He leaned over her, his lips parting just enough to give her the impression he was thinking about kissing her. “The curve of a woman’s foot reminds me of her body…see? Sexy.” He slid the shoe on a very terrified looking Jane and stood. “Perfect fit.”
Jane’s mouth opened then closed as a rosy flush crept over her face. “Th-thank you.”
“I bought you my favorite brand.”
Her eyebrows arched. How did he know about Manolo Blahnik? “Oh.” And then she nodded and said loudly, “Ohhhh! That makes sense!”
Bentley’s eyes narrowed. “Me buying women’s shoes?”
“You wearing them,” she explained. “That’s great. I mean, good for you. I’m sorry I’m so awkward at things like this, but it’s good you’re…you know…” She bobbed her head and sputtered. “Out and…comfortable with it.”
“Out?” Bentley repeated. “I’m confused.”
“Of the closet,” she said slowly then saw the scowl on Bentley’s face. “Or maybe you just like to dress like a woman?” She straightened her shoulders and tried again. “In either case, congratulations on your choice to wear women’s clothing!”
Brock about died laughing as Bentley’s horrified expression went from stunned to genuine confusion.
“You heard her.” Brock held his laughter in check. “Congratulations, brother. I’ll take care of the press release: Bachelor Playboy Bentley Wellington and his private women’s shoe collection.”
Bentley let out a strangled laugh. “Yes, and while we’re at it why don’t we remind the press that the clock is ticking on that auction of yours? Hmm?”
“Auction?” Jane asked.
“Don’t.” Brock shook his head. “You don’t want to know.”
“But she probably already does.” Bentley pointed out. “Unless she doesn’t read the news…?”
They both stared at her, waiting for an answer.
“I, uh…” She ducked her head, blushing again. “I read books.”
“How pure.” Bentley smiled and sat down next to her. “And just so we’re clear.” He leaned in as though he was going to kiss her. “My bat only swings one way…and I can assure you, every time I get thrown a pitch, I hit it out of the park.”

Jane isn’t entirely sure that Cinderella got such a raw deal. Sure, she had a rough start, but didn’t she eventually land a prince and a happily-ever-after? Meanwhile, Jane is busy waiting on her demanding, entitled sisters, running her cleaning business, and . . . yep, not a prince in sight. Until a party and a broken shoe incident leave Jane wondering if princes—or at least, a certain deliciously hunky billionaire—maybe do exist.
Except Brock Wellington isn’t anyone’s dream guy. Hell, a prince would never agree to be auctioned off in marriage to the highest bidder. Or act like an arrogant jerk—even if it was just a façade. Now, as Brock is waiting for the auction chopping block, he figures it’s karmic retribution that he’s tempted by a sexy, sassy woman he can’t have. But while they can’t have a fairy-tale ending, maybe they can indulge in a little bit of fantasy . .

He leaned in, kissing her softly. Smoochy stirred, sat up, and toddled off, jumping off a very distracted Gerald’s lap.
“Let’s take this,” she said, breathless between kisses, “one step at a time.”
“Spend the night with me.”
“I like that step.”
“Make me breakfast in the morning.”
“Is that step two?”
“I always respond well to a clearly defined set of procedures.”
“How about a map?”
Neither one moved. The offer, once accepted, was almost enough. Acting on it felt so big. So was he, though. As she crawled into his lap, connected to him by their eager mouths, she pulled her skirt up so she could straddle him, his arms wrapping around her waist. The heat of sinking into him, the intimacy of having his body so close, made her mind rest.
Her body took over.
“You taste so good,” he murmured between kisses, his hands sliding up her spine in tandem, then moving across her shoulders in synchronized perfection to remove her suit jacket. The shiver she gave came less from the temperature change and more from the delicious feel of how he touched her. With Gerald, a touch wasn’t just the stroke of a finger, the brush of a palm, the flick of a tongue, or the thrust into her. Never one to waste movement, he reveled in it, living fully in dimensions she couldn’t even see.
He pulled her shirt out from her waistband just as she returned the favor, seeking the raw warmth of his skin. Her hands flattened against his thick shoulders, the connection grounding, her body moving in a slow, involuntary rhythm against him as he kissed her hard.
As he cupped her breasts over her bra, her nipples tightened, the ache spinning down in a spiral, tearing through years of pain and craving. Her breath hitched and his kiss became more urgent, his intent clear. It was so good to kiss a man who knew how to hold her just so, who used a feather light touch where she wanted it, and who pressed where a tighter squeeze made a difference.
Gerald had been joyfully unrestrained in bed, hours of pleasure unending, as if there were no events marking time— no final orgasm, no steps in a schematic— but only the undefined fuzzy logic of imperfect art played out in moans and sighs, in the light stroke of a fingertip against responsive flesh, in the wave of tongue against arched hips and the push and pull of love cried out in ecstasy.
In minutes, they would be back in that dimension. S
he shivered with anticipation.
“What are we doing?” she whispered, the tone playful, his hands sinking into her long waves.
“Whatever it is, it’s been a while,” he rasped. “I’ve missed you. I’ve missed this.”
My name is Roman Cavenaugh and I’m kind of an asshole.
Running a company isn't easy, especially when everyone expects you to fail, so being a jerk? It comes with the territory.
I don't have time to mess around, and I sure as hell didn’t see her coming.
Cara Hamilton—she was supposed to be off limits…a temporary employee brought in during my assistant’s maternity leave.
But, in the blink of an eye, she became so much more.
An obsession I couldn’t shake.
So yeah, I may be an asshole, but now, I finally had a purpose, and soon, she would be mine.
All’s fair in love and war…
Roman Cavanagh is known for being an arrogant conceited jerk. But he’s had to prove himself his whole life to his father, now taking over the company that he was never even considered to do. He is brother to Jude who was in J.L. Berg’s previous books Within and Beyond These Walls. This is a complete standalone and you don’t need to read those previous books.
Cara Hamilton is trying to find her footing after following her boyfriend to NYC. She accepts a temporary position as Roman’s secretary, as his regular one is out on maternity leave. She is a free spirit and is someone who actually stands up to Roman when he is acting like an arrogant jerk. Slowly she works past the walls that Roman has erected to protect himself and they find themselves in a boss/employee friendship. Through this friendship, Cara’s eyes are open to her partner’s true colors. Soon lines are blurred and the consequences of those actions have to be faced by both.
This isn’t the typical guy meets girl, or girl meets guy, falls in love and have their HEA. This is a story that both Roman and Cara delve deeper into themselves and see parts they don’t like and work to change that for the better. When they realize their feelings run deeper than just boss/employee or even friendship, they fight to show the other that they are the one they are meant to be with. I am being vague because there is a twist in BCD that you have to read to find out yourself, so there will be no spoilers here.
I love J.L. Berg and have since I first read When You’re Ready. She has a way of getting into your head and pulling at the emotions that you didn’t even know that they were there. Or she taps into an emotion that you don’t want to confront but you have no choice but to confront. I love that about her and this is a perfect book to start with if you have never read her before and then move onto her other series.
I give it 4 ½ stars, I really wanted to give it 5 but sometimes with Roman I was put off more often than not with his behavior. But this is a book that will stay with me and I will reread at some point, and I think it will be the same for you if you decide to give this book a go.

That moment your life changes.
That moment that changes your life.
That moment you love someone more than you love yourself.
That was the moment we gave our son up for adoption and the moment I was left bare. A wide-open space that would forever be empty.
There are moments that define you as a person, moments that prove just how strong you are, moments you push yourself to keep going forward when all you really want to do is give up. It was in one of those moments when I reached out and found him waiting for me.
When Shelby Calder left home fifteen years ago, she never planned on returning to the Alaskan town she left behind. But after the death of her grandfather and a bitter divorce, she hopes going home will be a fresh start for her and her ten-year-old son.
Zach Watters has made a lot of mistakes in his life. But when he sees Shelby Calder, looking more beautiful than ever, standing outside her childhood home, he promises himself that letting her go won't be a mistake he ever makes again.
Some things never change and love is one of them.
Wide Open Spaces is the second book in her Shooting Stars series. You don’t have to read the first one to be able to read Wide Open Spaces. I’ve read Fighting to Breathe, the first book, and honestly couldn’t wait for this book to be released.
Shelby left her home fifteen years determined to never return. But a turn of events, her divorce and her grandfather’s passing, has her returning home and facing the reasons she left in the first place. One of those reasons was Zach, and on her first day home learns that he is her next door neighbor. Over the past fifteen years, Zach has not forgotten Shelby nor the love that he has for her. Now that she is back, he is not letting her slip through his fingers again.
It is not an easy feat for Shelby to take that chance again. Years ago, both her and Zach had to make a torturous decision and she is still feeling the after effects, and isn’t sure she can open her heart to Zach again the way he wants her to. Add in ex’s who make things difficult on both ends, you wonder if they are truly meant to be. But as Zach and Shelby deal with the repercussions of their decision, they find that they are truly healing themselves and each other. That empty void both Zach and Shelby have is filled by their love for each other.
I was glad that I kept tissues nearby because a few times I had to stop because tears were freely falling. Aurora wrote a beautiful second chance love story that deals with something that many people face in society. She truly pulls at your heartstrings and you wonder just how much love you have in your heart for the people in and not in your life. It is a second chance romance in many ways, along with redemption and acceptance. I give this book 5 stars because even after I read it, it stayed with me for several days and is easily on my list of rereads. I have read all of Aurora’s books and I think with the material written about, this is the best she released. I can’t wait to see what more we can expect from her.
