Notorious Nora Sutherlin is famous for her delicious works of erotica, each one more popular with readers than the last. But her latest manuscript is different - more serious, more personal - and she's sure it'll be her breakout book...if it ever sees the light of day. Zachary Easton holds Nora's fate in his well-manicured hands. The demanding British editor agrees to handle the book on one condition: he wants complete control. Nora must rewrite the entire novel to his standards - in six weeks - or no deal. Nora's gruelling writing sessions with Zach are draining...and shockingly arousing. And a dangerous former lover has her wondering which is more torturous - staying away from him... or returning to his bed? Nora thought she knew everything about being pushed to your limits. But in a world where passion is pain, nothing is ever that simple.
I’ve been in a book funk almost all year. Yes, I have read several books and started more than I’ve read. I just couldn’t get into anything. Well, I finally took the advice that I’ve seen so many people give when you get in a book rut. You reread books that you have loved.
I don’t give a whole lot of books 5 stars because I’m picky and the book must blow my mind. I feel like 5 stars is given out so easily and now people have moved to this 6 stars business. Well, no ma’am. 5 stars is all there is for me and if I give it 5, it also means people’s 6’s.
So what book did I reread that has me writing this post and back into enjoying books again? Well, it’s Tiffany Resiz’s (pronounced Rice) book series: The Original Sinners. Specifically The Siren, The Angel, The Prince and The Mistress. This is the second group in the Original Sinners series called The Red Years. If you haven’t read them yet, (what the heck are you waiting for) start with The Siren. She has a second group of the books, also in the same series, called The White Years. Two different time frames. I’ve included the information for the first book in the series above. I’m sure you seen it.
