Ride Steady by Kristen Ashley Book Review

The ride of her life . . .
Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.

Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever . . .

Book Review

Ride Steady is about Joker and Carissa. We learn both their stories and learn more about the Chaos Motorcycle Club.
Kristen Ashley captures our hearts with googly woogly baby talk and pulls at our heart when a man helps a man that tried to do right by him at a young age. Ashley praises teachers in her book, and for that I give her a standing ovation. She will forever have my heart for the glorification of teachers that care, matter and take time to go the extra mile for any student.
Ride Steady teaches us lessons that we all need to learn. Lessons in patience, lessons in kindness, lessons in helping others and much more. If we took the love story out of the book, Ride Steady is a fantastic book for people of all ages to learn from. Honestly. Carissa learned the hard way right in the beginning.
Oh, and on a final note, as icing on the cake, if you have read any of Kristen’s other books, we see some of her other characters make appearances and you will swoon. I know my tummy did little flips and flops when they showed up. At the very end, I couldn’t help but do a big fist pump. Justice was served.
